<video:title>ROCKSTEAD KON-ZDP</video:title>
      <video:description>

	 The Rockstead KON-ZDP is a large Japanese sheath knife built around ZDP189 clad steel, Honzukuri geometry, a full-tang construction, a wood micarta handle, a SUS440C guard, and a dedicated sheath designed for field carry.nbsp;
nbsp;The blade is made from ZDP189 clad by VG10 and hardened to approximately HRc67. The ZDP189 core gives the knife its long-term edge retention, while the VG10 cladding improves corrosion resistance around the core steel. This matters because ZDP189, despite being classified as stainless steel, contains a very high carbon content and may develop small rust spots if exposed to moisture, salts, or an aggressive storage environment.nbsp;
nbsp; The KON-ZDP uses Rockstead’s Honzukuri convex geometry in a full-size blade format. The convex bevels are mirror-finished, while the blade’s flat section remains matte, creating a deliberate contrast between optical reflection and restrained surface texture. The absence of distortion in the reflected image is not merely a visual effect; it is evidence of the exceptional accuracy and smoothness of the convex Honzukuri bevels, combined with Rockstead’s extremely fine polishing.
nbsp; The handle is made from wood micarta and built around a full tang. This gives the knife direct structural continuity from blade to grip. Unlike the removable-handle UN or DON series, the KON-ZDP is not designed for disassembly.nbsp;
nbsp; The KON-ZDP is supplied with a dedicated sheath equipped with a nylon belt and a movable attachment system. This construction is designed for field carry, allowing the sheath to follow body movement more naturally when walking, bending, or sitting.nbsp;The knife is secured in the sheath through a friction-lock system. The fitted sheath holds the knife by precise contact pressure, reducing movement inside the sheath and helping protect the polished blade surface during carry and storage. For additional security, the sheath also uses a nylon strap with a snap fastener, giving the knife a second point of retention during active field use.
nbsp; The knife is also supplied with a special silk pouch decorated with Japanese motifs. The pouch adds a softer storage and presentation layer, balancing the KON-ZDP’s practical full-tang construction with a quieter Japanese visual character.
nbsp; Each Rockstead knife is supplied with an individual passport showing its serial number and actual measured blade hardness, confirming that the hardness value is recorded for the specific knife, not only stated as a general model specification.

      <video:title>ROCKSTEAD UN-DLC (GOLD COLOR HANDLE)</video:title>
      <video:description>The Rockstead UN-DLC (Gold) is a full-size Japanese fixed blade built around a 140 mm YXR7 blade, Rockstead’s Honzukuri convex geometry, DLC protection, and a removable silk-wrapped handle inspired by traditional Japanese sword construction. The Gold version uses Rockstead’s subdued Kincya cord color, creating a restrained contrast with the dark DLC blade.

Honzukuri blade / YXR7+ DLC

The blade is made from YXR7 tool steel, hardened to approximately 65 HRC and protected with DLC. Compared with Rockstead’s ZDP-189 configuration, YXR7 places greater emphasis on toughness, making the UN-DLC particularly well suited to demanding cutting where resistance to edge damage is important.
The substantial 5.2 mm blade stock is shaped in Rockstead’s Honzukuri geometry, with convex bevels on both sides of the blade. This leaves strong support behind the edge while reducing the abrupt shoulders that can make a thick blade wedge as it moves deeper into the cut. Rockstead demonstrates the UN-DLC cutting bamboo and states that the blade remains capable of slicing paper after chopping and cutting hard wood. This is a useful illustration of what the YXR7, approximately 65 HRC hardness and Honzukuri geometry are intended to achieve together: a strong edge backed by substantial blade stock without sacrificing cutting ability. Because YXR7 is not stainless, the main blade surfaces are protected by DLC. The sharpened edge remains exposed and should be cleaned and dried after use.

Silk-Wrapped Removable Handle
The UN is immediately recognizable by its Japanese sword-inspired handle construction. Instead of conventional fixed-blade scales, the removable handle uses a traditional-style silk wrap over the underlying handle structure. On the Gold version, the Kincya wrap is a muted sandy-gold tone rather than a bright metallic gold. Against the black DLC blade, it gives this configuration a warmer and more traditional appearance while remaining visually restrained. The handle assembly can be removed, although owner disassembly should only be undertaken in accordance with Rockstead’s current service and warranty guidance.

Dedicated Locking Sheath
The UN-DLC is supplied with a dedicated Wood Micarta and leather sheath. Rather than relying on friction alone, the sheath incorporates Rockstead’s locking retention system for positive blade retention.

At 255.5 mm overall and 254 g, the UN-DLC has the proportions and weight of a substantial fixed blade. The combination of 5.2 mm blade stock, YXR7 at approximately 65 HRC and Honzukuri convex geometry gives this version a tougher specification than the ZDP-189 UN while retaining the refined cutting geometry expected from Rockstead. Each Rockstead knife is individually serialized and supplied with its original factory documentation, including the measured hardness recorded for the individual blade.</video:description>

      <video:title>ROCKSTEAD NEHAN ZDP (MB)</video:title>
      <video:description>

	 Rockstead had produced model "NEHAN"nbsp; till to 2010.
	 Due to the great popularity of this model, Rockstead decided to reproduce this model again in 2017.
	 Original NEHAN was designed by very famous custom knife maker in the world Koji Hara. New Rockstead NEHAN has almost the same outer part design compared to the Koji Hara's orinal model. But all the structure are totally different. New Rockstead NEHAN is more high-end than original one. Also, this is the highest quality folding knife with Rockstead's expertise clutivated through knife production.
	 Besides the mirror polished finish blade made from ZDP 189 New Rockstead NEHAN has a very safe and High-precision button lock system. For the handle material Rockstead use two kind of different handle materials. One is "Artificial Marble" that is used for high-end kitchen counter also, it looks very gorgeous.
	 nbsp;The other one is the "Ebonite" that is used high-end fountain pen also, this is very popular in the fountain pen collector.
	 nbsp;These materials are bond with titanium plate, and then machining. This design image is the Japanese Kimono's fold.
	 These heterogeneous materials and precision finishing are accumulated technologies due DON's handle manufacturing process.nbsp; Usually,in folding knifes,nbsp; handles are put right and left together by screws but in New NAHANnbsp; these screws does not visible. New NEHAN handle looks like one-piece handle. This is Rockstead original technology.

      <video:description>

Rockstead REN-ZDP Folding Knife 3.7" Mirror Finish Tanto Convex Blade, Carbon Fiber+Titanium Handle

	 Rockstead REN-ZDP folding knife has a unique design where the handle's Western geometrical contour and pattern are perfectly combined with the traditional Japanese Katana geometry blade "Tanto - Honzukuri."
It is well known that all Rockstead-made knife names and terms used by Rockstead have special hidden meanings, and Ren is not an exception.

	 The name "Ren" (錬) - comes from classic honorary titles in Japanese Martial arts (Budo): Ren-shi, Kyo-shi; Han-si; Mei-jin. These names were conceived as signs that a certain level of skill and understanding had been achieved. They are awarded only to those who "have a certain rank and are distinguished by the exceptional technique, knowledge, and character of Japanese Martial arts." Applied to the REN model, Rockstead shows that it is just the first level on the way to perfection.
Honzukuri (本造り)nbsp; is a term that came from Japanese traditional Katana craftsmanship, which means "Examine the raw materials and ingredients, and take the time to make the Katana properly."nbsp;

	 HIGH-END STEEL ZDP-189 + BEST HEAT TREATMENT (67 Hrc) + PROPER CONVEX BLADE GEOMETRY WITH A VARIABLE ANGLE ALONG THE ENTIRE LENGTH + HIGH-END MIRROR POLISH + MIND-BLOWING SHARPNESS = ROCKSTEAD REN HONZUKURI. Simple formula )))

	 The REN has an impressive handle with 3D milled dry carbon fiber scale on the presentation side, a 3D milled Titanium Frame Lock with Hardened Steel Lockbar Insert on the other side, and a perfect,nbsp; smooth action through phosphor-bronze washers and high precision fitting.
Also, please note that there is a unique number milled on each blade, so you can register your knife on the Rockstead website to prevent reselling it in case of stolen.
Each REN is packed into a Paulownia wood box with an individual knife passport and warranty letter.
(Note) REN is not a flipper knife model.

	 Other features
Lanyard hole, Pocket clip, Presentation case, Limited Edition with Serial number.

      <video:title>ROCKSTEAD HIGOⅡ X-CF-ZDP (BLUE)</video:title>
      <video:description>The HIGO II X-CF-ZDP (Blue) is a titanium frame-lock folding knife with contoured carbon-fiber scales over a blue titanium frame. Compared with the all-titanium HIGO II, the X-CF has a fuller, more rounded handle profile. Concealed scale hardware keeps the show side clean and uninterrupted.

ZDP189, Honzukuri and Progressive Edge Angle
The blade uses a ZDP189 core clad in VG-10 stainless steel and is hardened to approximately 67 HRC. Rockstead shapes the blade in its dual-convex Honzukuri geometry. The edge angle changes progressively along the blade, from approximately 30° around the middle of the cutting edge to approximately 24° near the tip. The main working section therefore retains greater support behind the edge, while the finer tip geometry reduces resistance during precise cutting. The Honzukuri bevels are finished to Rockstead’s mirror polish. On a continuously convex surface, even small irregularities in the grind become visible as distortion in the reflected image. A clear, undistorted reflection therefore shows not only the quality of the polish, but also the accuracy of the underlying convex geometry. Rockstead tests the edge retention of the ZDP189 blade with approximately 1,000 cuts through 25 mm Manila rope. After the test, the edge remains capable of cleanly slicing paper.

Carbon Fiber and Blue Titanium
The carbon-fiber scales are contoured both across and along the handle, creating a rounded, hand-filling profile. Unlike conventional woven carbon fiber, the material has an irregular layered pattern with flowing lines reminiscent of dark natural wood grain. The pattern changes subtly as the handle catches the light from different angles. The carbon-fiber scales sit over the blue titanium frame, which remains visible around the handle and forms the structural frame-lock side of the knife. The frame lock uses a hardened steel insert at the lock face, providing the contact surface against the blade tang.

Bronze Washers and Controlled Action
The blade pivots on bronze washers rather than bearings. The HIGO II X-CF has a smooth, controlled washer-based action rather than the loose, drop-shut feel associated with many bearing-driven folders. The blade moves cleanly through the pivot while remaining free of lateral play. The character of the action is deliberate: smooth and precise rather than tuned primarily for fast deployment.

Precision Assembly and Blade Centering
The HIGO can be disassembled for cleaning and maintenance. The precision of the HIGO II X-CF becomes especially clear during reassembly. Once the knife is correctly assembled and the pivot is tightened, the blade returns to center without the repeated loosening, shifting and retightening often required to correct blade centering on other folding knives. This repeatability comes from the close tolerances of the blade, pivot, bronze washers and titanium frame: the parts locate consistently in the same position each time the knife is assembled.

Individually Serialized
Each HIGO II X-CF-ZDP is individually serialized and supplied with its original Rockstead factory documentation, including the hardness measured for that specific blade.</video:description>

      <video:title>ROCKSTEAD HIGO-X-IW-ZDP</video:title>
      <video:description>

	 HIGO X-IW-ZDP HONZUKURI is a Rockstead knife flagship model among all HIGO series. Name - "HIGO" is a name (肥後国- Higo no Kuni) for an old province in the area that is today Kumamoto Prefecture on Kyushu island in Japan.
The perfectly mirror-polished ZDP-189 convexed zero-grind blade has a gradually reducing-edge angle (30 degrees near the haft and 24 degrees at the tip). Blade hardness is up to an astounding ~66+ HRC.

	 Rockstead HIGO X blades has a status - Honzukuri (本造り) . This word is a unique term from traditional Japanese swordsmithing. It means "Examine the raw materials and ingredients, and take the time to make the Katana properly."nbsp;

	 Extremely high hardness, convex zero-grind with mirror finish age, and variable edge angle give the knife an unbelievable cutting ability. Higo can easily cut Manila rope 1,000 times (confirmed by actual tests) and still slices cleanly through paper. The opening (close) knife action is super smooth with a good, solid click sound. Handle made from 420 stainless steel frame with Ironwood plate.

	 Each HIGO-X comes with a leather belt pouch with a Torx wrench slot. Also, each knife is individually numbered and includes a certificate of authenticity with a complete knife specifications datasheet and warranty letter.nbsp;

	 All Rockstead Knife is packed in an individually handmade Paulownia wood box and with a warranty that includes a free sharpening (Only shipping charges to and from Japan are on Customers) and a certificate of authenticity with a total knife specification data.
A wooden paulownia box has a high anti-corrosive effect.

Delivers in wooden box, product specification sheet, guarantee policy, wrench for dismantlement.

	 A quick glance at the knife shows that Rockstead sets it apart from other knives. It's no exaggeration to say that there is just a single point of haze-free mirror-finished convex blades, a perfect curve that humans difficult to make, and there is no higher quality knife. The blade is made of HITACHI’s high hardness ZDP189 High-End powder steel, has outstanding hardness (more than 68 HRC) and amazing wear resistance, and the blade is so sharp that it can cut through a thousand-pages (thick) phone book like cutting the butter.

This model is a folding knife with a handle that has a wave-like shape. This handle design was inspired by an artisan Ogata Kōrin. Great Japanese painter, traditional Urushi-lacquerer and Designer of the Japanese Rinpa School. A minor change of handle material from duraluminium to titanium, has 2 variations shot finish and gloss finish. The moment you will take the knife in your hand, you will be satisfied with the price.
nbsp;This handle material is titanium with DLC and blade material is ZDP189.
nbsp;This greatest feature of this knife is its movable clip system, called the "concealed clip system". We have originally produced the concealed clip system to eliminates the uncomfortable feeling of the "clip feel" when gripping the handle. However, it turns out that a part of the mechanism of this "concealed clip system" conflicts with US patent Nos. 8,112,894 and 8,783,141.
<video:title>ROCKSTEAD RYO H-ZDP (AWR)</video:title>
      <video:description>

	 The Rockstead RYO H-ZDP AWR is a high-precision folding knife with a ZDP189 clad blade, Honzukuri convex geometry, mirror polish, a 3D-machined titanium handle, and a licensed concealed clip system.nbsp;The blade outline is inspired by the Higonokami, one of Japan’s most recognizable traditional folding knife forms. Rockstead refines this familiar Japanese silhouette through modern materials, convex Honzukuri geometry, and mirror-surface finishing. RYO is written 良 in Japanese, meaning “good,” “excellent,” or “refined.”nbsp;The Honzukuri convex blade uses a ZDP189 powder-metallurgy stainless core clad with VG10 stainless steel.

	 The handle is precision-machined from titanium with a three-dimensional wave-like surface and finished in Antique Wine Red anodization.

	 The RYO’s key mechanical feature is its concealed clip system. When carried, the clip functions like a normal pocket clip. When the knife is gripped for cutting, the spring-loaded clip retracts into the titanium handle scale, reducing the uncomfortable “clip feel” in the palm.nbsp;The concealed clip mechanism is used under license from Joseph Caswell, owner of U.S. Patent Nos. 8,112,894 and 8,783,141.nbsp;The RYO H-ZDP locking system uses a button lock, while dual thumb studs provide controlled opening.

	 The RYO H-ZDP AWR combines four defining elements: a Higonokami-inspired blade outline, ZDP189 Honzukuri blade geometry, an Antique Wine Red anodized titanium handle, and a licensed concealed clip system. It is a compact Rockstead folder built for high edge retention, clean cutting performance, smooth in-hand ergonomics, and distinctive mechanical design.
